FuriosaAI has raised $620 million in a Series D round, giving the Seoul-based developer of artificial-intelligence accelerators new capital to expand production and advance its chip roadmap. The company is focused on AI inference in data centers, where computing systems process requests from deployed models.
The financing includes a broad group of strategic, institutional and public-sector backers. Participants named by FuriosaAI include Cisco Investments, NAVER, the National Growth Fund of South Korea, Korea Development Bank and Export-Import Bank of Korea, alongside a number of investment firms and corporate investors.
Capital aimed at production and the next chip generation
FuriosaAI said it plans to direct the proceeds toward expanding production of its RNGD product, strengthening the software surrounding its hardware and accelerating work on a third-generation AI accelerator. The announcement did not disclose a valuation for the company.

| Company focus | AI accelerators for data-center inference |
| Planned uses | RNGD production, software development and a third-generation accelerator |
Led by CEO June Paik, FuriosaAI describes its technology as an integrated computing platform rather than a standalone chip product. Its architecture is built around a proprietary tensor contraction processor, or TCP, and the company develops related silicon, compilers, software and server systems.
That approach places the company across several layers of the AI infrastructure stack. In addition to designing accelerator hardware, FuriosaAI is working on the programming tools and server systems needed to deploy the technology in data centers. The company’s stated target is inference, the phase in which trained AI models generate outputs for applications and users.
International footprint and investor base
FuriosaAI is headquartered in Seoul and operates offices in the United States, Portugal and Singapore. Its Series D investor group also includes Infinitum, QUDA Capital Partners, NeoFort Holding, Jericho Capital, Worldline Capital, DSC Investment, KDB Capital, NAVER Ventures, Nextrans, Kakao Investment, UAMCO and Hanwha Asset Management.
- Strategic investors: Cisco Investments and NAVER
- Public and development-finance participants: South Korea’s National Growth Fund, Korea Development Bank and Export-Import Bank of Korea
- Expansion priorities: RNGD manufacturing, software and third-generation accelerator development
The financing arrives as FuriosaAI continues to position its products for data-center inference and expands the surrounding software and systems required for deployment. The company’s next stated priorities are production growth, a broader software ecosystem and development of its third-generation accelerator.
