Tata Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate, has recently taken a significant step towards improving Air India’s operational effectiveness and customer experience by integrating top-class technology solutions from Amadeus, one of the leading travel technology companies in the world, as a part of the carrier’s revamp initiative.
If sources are to believe, Air India is planning to implement a comprehensive Amadeus Altéa PSS suite, which includes components ranging from revenue management, retailing, revenue accounting, merchandising mobile, website, and regular flyer program management.
The platform is said to deliver effective and updated reservation solutions for customers and travel partners. In addition, it will also aid Air India in being equipped with the latest technology, which will amplify its operational efficiency.
Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nipun Aggarwal said that in accordance with the vision set by Mr. N Chandrasekeran (Chairman of Tata Group) for making Air India a world-class airline, the firm is adopting several momentous technology solutions for revolutionizing its consumer experience.
Mr. Aggarwal claims that Amadeus Altéa PSS is the first of many such initiatives the firm wishes to take to transform Air India. The firm is enthusiastic about collaborating with the Amadeus teams to deliver the vision.
Cyril Tetaz, Executive VP, Amadeus, Altéa, said that the firm feels grateful to be the technology partner of Air India as the carrier is undergoing an ambitious transformation. India is one of the major markets for Amadeus, and has its second-largest R&D center.
