Schneider rebuilds IT partner programme to hone skills of SME partners

Schneider Electric, a French digital automation and energy management company, has overhauled its mySchneider IT Partner Program to help its partners enlarge their business by becoming strategic experts and advisors in the market.

The focus of this program will be on distinct specializations, including data center solution providers, IT solution providers, and IT software and services providers.

Currently, Schneider has 4,000 partners in India, of which 112 are managed partners, a part of the current programme.

Sachin Bhalla, VP, Secure Power, India and SAARC, Schneider Electric, during the launch of the revamped programme, said that these 112 are the small business partners on which the firm is focusing for building their skills, co-developing solutions with them and co-approaching customers with developers.

SMEs collaborating with Schneider include IT resellers selling laptops and networking equipment, undertaking electrical installation and system integration work, and ramifying into UPS installation as well.

Mr. Bhalla said that the key objective is to train these partners in diverse skill sets regardless of how many partners the firm wishes to reach.

The firm seeks partners capable of serving customers in every area where Schneider wishes to be. So possibly only 112 partners can be developed for serving in all areas, or the firm may require more partners in the coming future.

In the last decade, the members of the current IT channel programme have earned benefits, including tools, discounts, and offers from Schneider Electric and its leading APC brand, which offers clean battery backup power, IT physical infrastructure, and surge protection, said the company.

As per sources, the partners participating in the updated program are further expected to remain agile per the current innovated market trends and, as a result, generate around eight times higher revenue, the company added further.
