Samsung unveils 4K ultra-short throw projector ‘The Premiere’ in India

With an aim to offer users an enhanced “private cinema experience”, Samsung has unveiled its ultra-premium range of 'The Premiere' projectors in India. The Premiere is an ultra-short throw (UST) projector with a compact, space-saving design.

Unlike normal projectors, UST projectors are not required to be positioned very far away from the wall or screen on which the image/feed will be projected. Instead, these space-saving projectors are designed to be used close to your screen.

For instance, the projector can be placed on a coffee table or a chest of drawers that is only 11.3 cm away from the screen, allowing it to project a 130-inch screen.

The Premiere from Samsung features a basic white design with rounded edges and a fabric finish. It is currently available in up to 130-inch and 120-inch screen sizes – LSP9T and LSP7T, respectively.

According to a statement released by Samsung, “The laser-powered 4K picture resolution is supported by both the LSP9T and LSP7T versions. The Premiere LSP9T is also the "world's first HDR10+ certified projector with triple laser technology,".

These projectors claim to produce revolutionary contrast details with a peak brightness of up to 2,800 ANSI lumens. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) defines ANSI Lumens as a unit for measuring the entire quantity of light produced by a projector.

As per credible sources, starting August 10, the two models of The Premiere will be available on Samsung's official online store, Samsung Shop, and at select Samsung Smart Plazas. The Premiere LSP9T is priced at $8,479 (INR 6,29,900), while the LSP7T is priced at $5,250 (INR 3,89,900).

Additionally, early bird consumers will receive a complimentary Amazon Echo Plus when purchasing either of the two variants from Samsung's official web store with covered 12-month warranty.
