Electric vehicle startup- MoEVing has reportedly announced its partnership with India’s largest electric scooter company- Hero Electric to speed up the adoption of cost-effective electric vehicles, as well as work on converting nearly one-lakh (1,00,000) internal combustion engine-run two-wheelers to electric vehicles in the next five years.
As per an official statement by Hero Electric, with immediate effect, the New Delhi-headquartered electric vehicle startup will position nearly 1,000 Hero Electric automobiles via its technology platform for B2B entities by the end of the financial year of 2022 via its technology platform for B2B e-commerce giants, third party logistics, retail, and FMCG firms.
In addition to the above, both the companies aim at working together to drive the adoption of electric automobiles through a new demand and also focuses on converting ICE vehicles to electric.
In the next five years, the alliance focuses on converting nearly 1,00,000 two-wheeler ICE cars- used in the last mile delivery to electric cars. For doing so, MoEVing will extend access to data and analytics modules while Hero will work on the vehicle and battery performance along with the maintenance issues based on real-time to accelerate product, technology, and service enhancements.
As a prominent OEM in the rapidly evolving EV industry, Hero Electric is focusing on driving the adoption of electric cars, especially in the B2B space.
While MoEVing, which presently operates in Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai, aims at deploying nearly one million electric vehicles through 2030. It also aims at expanding its presence to more than 100 cities within the next 3 to 5 years.
According to Vikash Mishra, Founder, CEO of MoEVing, the wide presence of Hero Electric across India will help MoEVing deploy electric vehicles seamlessly along with offering a robust after-sale service.
