Arkema unveils new technologies for the building & construction sector


Arkema, a specialized chemicals and advanced manufacturing company, has unveiled its portfolio of new, cutting-edge solutions for addressing the issues with new energies, recycling, urbanization, and mobility at the recent Big 5 construction expo in Dubai.

For the uninitiated, the Big 5 is one of the Dubai’s major building and construction exhibitions, covering the whole construction cycle and bringing together the entire spectrum of building materials, construction goods, and solutions under one roof.

Arkema provides a suite of first-class solutions to satisfy the ever-growing need for innovative and sustainable materials based on its unique combination of materials science knowledge.

It has been working for the past 20 years in the Middle East and has steadily expanded in size and importance, establishing itself as a truly local and regionally renowned French innovative specialty chemicals business.

Arkema has been serving the oil and gas, petrochemicals, and construction sectors through its regional headquarters in Dubai and has created strong relationships with major clients.

This year, the company presented its refrigerant gases (Forane products range) from its fluorochemicals business, and a wide range of products from Bostik that are targeted towards the building & construction industry.

Arkema Middle East’s Managing Director, Bertrand Jausseme, said that they are ecstatic that the Arkema Group has been invited to participate in this exhibition. Since its inception in 2001, the company has had a prolonged presence in the Middle East.

He said that establishing a local presence demonstrates their commitment to assisting the regional partners and consumers in laying the foundations for their future and realizing their vision of a flourishing and diverse economy.

According to Mr. Jausseme, Arkema Fluorochemicals has been operating in Africa and the Middle East for over a decade now. He continued that their products are distributed and used daily across several segments in the construction industry.
