Adnoc L&S (Adnoc Logistics & Services), the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's shipping & maritime logistics division, has established a strategic agreement with Roll Group, a heavy transportation solution provider based in the Netherlands, to enhance its turnkey logistics offerings.
As per sources, the collaboration with Roll Group will allow Adnoc L&S to offer heavy haulage solutions for offshore and onshore projects. The two firms will provide complete heavy lifting and transport solutions, including full-scale installation for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. In addition, they will serve as a one-stop shop for all logistic needs.
Capt. Abdulkareem Al Masabi, Chief Executive Officer of Adnoc L&S, and Peter Rondhuis, CEO of Roll Group, signed the partnership agreement in the presence of founding partner of Roll Group Frans Van Seumeren and Captain Mohamed Al Ali, Senior VP of Ship Management at Adnoc L&S.
In a statement, Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi said, “The collaboration with Roll Group is a significant step forward in expanding their integrated logistics operations, notably in the heavy haulage sector”.
“Any large EPC contract requires heavy lift services and this partnership allows them to give a comprehensive and advanced solution that is also more cost-effective for the project”.
“The United Arab Emirates is now investing heavily in new downstream and industrial facilities and upgrading old ones”.
“They're building an integrated ecosystem to satisfy the transportation and logistical needs of such significant and essential oil and gas projects as part of their comprehensive strategy across integrated logistics, shipping, and marine services”, he said.
Supposedly, customers, including Adnoc Group, could benefit from this integrated strategy to lower overall project costs. In addition, Roll Group will construct a permanent base at the Mussafah Offshore Supply Base owned by ADNOC L&S and shift its Self-Propelled Modular Trailers to Adnoc L&S' Riash plant.
