David Tissot is originally from Saint-Just-Malmont, but lived in Beauzac for a long time before moving to Yssingeaux five years ago. He always had his hands under the hood. At the age of 15 he naturally switched to a passionate profession, that of being a car mechanic.
At the age of 15 he learned at Berger aux Villettes, where he learned the trade. He successfully passes a certificate as a professional mechanic followed by an additional mention in electronics, which is very useful and even essential for todays cars.
After a few years in different garages, he decided to take a break by devoting the week to building the family home while working weekends in a general mechanic company.
As soon as the last stone is laid, he goes into an independent business in part of his house and returns to his main job: car mechanics. At the age of 31 he decided to start a new page by taking over the management of a garage: 'After Euromecamat left, Saint-Julien-du-PInet had this opportunity,' he admits.
This Monday, January 18th, David Tissot opens the doors of his mechanical garage for all brands, light vehicles and utility vehicles: 'I leave the agriculture to Euromecamat'.
When a portion of the sale of spare parts such as wipers, oils, light bulbs and others has been installed, used vehicles will soon be put up for sale. With his extensive experience as an apprentice, he will welcome another student at the beginning of the 2021/2022 school year.
To do this, he had to invest in equipping himself with devices that meet the required safety standards: 'Training is one of the best ways to learn the trade'.
The Tissot garage is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. without interruption. Telephone: 04 71 65 57 29 or 06 37 40 28 20
