Loire. Aude, a Breton pastry chef, created the shortbread marolais, a Forez delicacy


In April 2014 Michaël and his partner Aude took over the village bistro. The marolaise break offers a plate of local charcuterie with hot potatoes, green salad and Fourme de Montbrison, a dessert (usually), for lunch.

The bistro worked fine but with three dependent children it became important to add an activity. In 2016 Aude and Michaël will set up a laboratory! And Aude, of Breton origin, pastry chef by profession, imagines a shortbread. The Marolais was born. There are different flavors, packed in kraft bags or metal boxes with the emblem of the village painters.

Michaël offers pizza to order on Saturday mornings.
